Galisteo Basin Preserve
The Galisteo Basin Preserve is a 12,800-acre conservation development in New Mexico’s central Galisteo Basin. Conceived, founded
and developed by Ted Harrison and the Trust for Public Land, and planned with Mark Brands of Site Workshop and Joe Hruda of Civitas,
SBA are the community architects  working with other architects and planners for the development. Design and construction standards of the village reflect the values and principles of a low-impact, resource efficient and sustainable development. This will be the first all sustainable, all green development in the Santa Fe region with thirty percent affordability and a dominantly solar design.
The village is to be developed within a small bowl of south facing land, with the remaining 12,000 acres to be conserved and restored as publicly accessible open space.
