BEBO'S WEE HOUSE, with MEL LAWRENCE Architect, and Consultants HAL BOX + SUBY BOWDEN + BEBO

The Wee House was conceived by the Owner, Bebo, as a compound surrounding a beautiful green courtyard, with 3 small buildings stepping down the side of a hill  in central Austin.

The house is in the Clarksville neighborhood, adjacent to the beautiful gospel chuch.

Bebo has lived in the neighborhood for years, and decided she wanted a small main house (848 SF) with a large screen porch for summertime use.

The second small building in the compound acts as a  living room for gathering events, and talks, and art shows, and such.

The third small building is for guests, with one bedroom, bath and closet.

The ideas, the spirit, and the placement of the buildings is all Bebo.

Bebo hired Austin Architect Mel Lawrence, and her two good friends Hal Box (Dean of the School of Architecture at University of Texas) and Suby Bowden (who was a student of Hal's and grew up in Austin) to all collaborate together and design the  main house.
