SUBY BOWDEN + ASSOCIATES

The Cerrillos Road site and building was designed to be "Del Norte Credit Union’s" flagship branch in Santa Fe.

Taking advantage of the grade differential on the site, the structure was designed to be partially bermed to provide a green space in the built environment and to provide visual relief within the paved landscape of Cerrillos Road.

By placing the building near the road and the parking behind the building SBA created an attention getting, readily visible green park on Cerrillos Road.

Reinterpreted in modern vocabulary, the building’s form and materials are respectful of New Mexico vernacular massing.

The interior is designed to emphasize a quality of openness through use of natural lighting, reducing glare and saving electricity.

A Community Process included design workshops with 2 neighborhood associations and the Cerrillos Rd. Chamber of Commerce group.

In addition SBA designed a Branch Office for Pecos, New Mexico, and worked with "Del Norte Credit Union" for their Pojoaque Office.
