GW

The GW Residence was designed by Morrow Bowden Architects in the foothills of the Sangre de Christo mountain range.

The home is passive solar, facing south and looking out over the hills and trails.

The home stays warm through the winter , with sunlight passing through the south windows, and heating the porcelain tile floors over concrete slabs.

After 3 or 4 days of cloudy snowy conditions, additional radiant heat is required to be turned up to offset the clouds overhead.

The central courtyard can be open or closed dependent upon the time of the year, and the pool has an automatic pool  cover to inhibit evaporation.
