SBA with Laura Carpenter for CREATIVE SANTA FE

"PLAZA -TO-PLAZA-WALKABILITY"

Laura Carpenter,

founder of Creative Santa Fe, conceived of the notion of improving the Walkability of downtown Santa Fe,

encouraging better urban design between the Historic Downtown Plaza and the New Railyard Plaza.

Suby Bowden + Associates created, planned and produced the attached maps for "walkability".

During an all day event at the new Skate Park (which sits along the river between the two plazas) the two banners were mounted in the Park to encourage greater exploration between the two plazas, and future urban design interventions between to the two plazas.

The concept was (and still is) to develop map handouts at tourist centers and community centers, to make such exploration easier and more fun for all.
